Real Talk with Red: You Don’t Need to Know It All — You Just Need to Start

Hey there, Road Warriors — or maybe you’re not quite there yet. Maybe you’re still in the scroll-and-stare phase, saving Pinterest checklists, bingeing RV YouTube, and wondering if buying a composting toilet makes you crunchy or just confused.

Either way, you’re in the right place.

My name’s Kim (but out here, they call me Red due to my fiery red hair that’s starting to show just a little gray, sigh). I created RV Newbie to Road Warrior for people like us: the curious, the overwhelmed, the “is this totally crazy or maybe kind of genius?” crowd who just want to get it right.

Let’s be real: I’m not a full-timer (yet). I’m a full-time nonprofit exec, wife, mom, and honorary chaos coordinator. Most of our RV life happens on the weekends — and I’m building this thing in between PTO requests, grocery runs, and fixing Wi-Fi so our daughter can finish homework while we boondock. (If you know, you know.)

But here’s what I’ve learned:

RV life doesn’t reward perfection. It rewards flexibility. Humor. Community. A little preparation goes a long way.

That's why I created this space. Not to make you feel like you need more gear or a custom-painted fifth wheel (unless you want one — I fully support that). But to help you say yes with less stress.

So if you're looking for:

  • 🛠️ Tools and checklists that don’t require an engineering degree

  • 😂 Stories from the road that make you feel less alone (or less ridiculous)

  • 🎒 Printables, digital downloads, and travel-ready resources that make RVing more doable

…you’re going to love it here.

You just need to start.

Let’s roll,
Red
